Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough preliminary interviews to assess clients’ mental, behavioral, and emotional health, ensuring a comprehensive understanding from the very first consultation.

• Document detailed case histories and treatment progress, moving from initial consultations through the completion of treatment.
\n
• Develop and implement tailored intervention and recovery plans that meet the unique needs of individuals, couples, families, and group therapy settings.

• Facilitate engaging and effective individual and group therapy sessions, using evidence-based methodologies to promote patient engagement and progress.

• Regularly monitor and evaluate client progress throughout therapy, adapting treatment plans as necessary to ensure optimal outcomes.

• Collaborate closely with a multidisciplinary team of healthcare professionals, including psychiatrists, nurses, and social workers, to develop cohesive intervention strategies.

• Follow up with healthcare providers for clients who have been admitted to the hospital, ensuring continuity of care during crises.

• Identify barriers to recovery and implement strategies to prevent behaviors that may hinder the treatment process.

• Support family members and caregivers with the tools and resources needed to manage mental health challenges within their loved ones.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution is required.

• Current and valid licensure as either an LMFT, LPC, or LCSW in the state of Arizona.

• A passing score achieved in the National Counselor Examination (NCE) and/or the National Clinical Mental Health Counseling Examination (NCMHCE).

• Demonstrated experience as a mental health counselor, particularly in a telehealth setting, is preferred.
\n
• Proficient in using electronic health record systems, especially AVATAR, to manage client information and care documentation.
\n
• A comprehensive understanding of co-occurring physical and emotional health conditions, including substance use disorders, is essential.
\n
• Familiarity with the American Mental Health Counselors Association (AMHCA) best practices and guidelines is preferred.
\n
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to convey complex concepts in a clear and compassionate manner.

• Exceptional interpersonal skills and a sympathetic disposition, essential for building rapport with clients.
