Assistant Project Manager The Assistant Project Manager is an entry-level project management position at Rosendin. The role involves learning and developing competency in essential duties and responsibilities while providing administrative and construction support for the Project Management team. What You’ll Do Manage project documentation, including submittals, RFIs, and meeting minutes. Oversee project activities assigned by the Project Manager, including planning, coordinating, resolving problem areas, and ensuring adherence to company/project policies, procedures, and standards. Maintain change orders, submittal, and document (drawing) control logs; prepare required logs and other project documentation for construction meetings. Ensure contract submittals are accurate and timely. Create and issue subcontractor contracts. Assemble and deliver Owner and Maintenance Manuals. Follow the project quality control plan. Coordinate with subcontractors to obtain correct documentation and drawings for Owner and Maintenance Manuals. Keep the Warranty Log up to date. Attend company/project meetings with clients and subcontractors, providing project management support. Monitor other contractors’ activities and progress. Create Job Information Sheets and establish Job Files. Prepare price change orders, project reports, and documentation. Work with payroll to ensure accurate payroll information. Additional responsibilities may be assigned based on the position’s role within the business unit. What You’ll Need To Be Successful Knowledge of construction technology, scheduling, equipment, and methods required. Tactful with a professional demeanor and ability to interact effectively with managers, employees, vendors, and others. Strong organizational, record‑keeping, and follow‑up skills. Strong attention to detail. Demonstrated excellence in organization and time management. Ability to identify and meet customers’ expectations and requirements. Proficiency in using a computer and Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel); Oracle preferred. Prioritize and manage multiple tasks, adapting to changing priorities. Work under pressure and adapt to changing requirements with a positive attitude. Oral and written communication skills required for the position. Self‑motivated, proactive, and an effective team player. Interact effectively and professionally with all levels of employees, vendors, clients, and others. What You Bring To Us Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management or related field or equivalent combination of training, education, and experience. Minimum one year of experience in a construction‑related role. Travel Up to 25% Working Conditions General work environment – primarily on active construction sites. Activity includes sitting for extended periods, standing, walking, typing, carrying, pushing, and bending. Work is conducted indoors with varying environmental conditions, such as fluorescent lighting and air conditioning. Noise level is typically low to medium. Occasional lifting of up to 30 lbs.
