Job Description As a Security Officer Armed Patrol Driver Veteran in Miami, FL , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. Position Type: Full Time Pay Rate: $22.26 / Hour Job Schedule: DayTimeNo Job Schedule specified. What You’ll Do: Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and/or members of the public while carrying out security‑related procedures, site‑specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a government location. Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, problem‑solving manner, documenting observations and communicating with site contacts, supervisors, and/or public agencies as needed. Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout assigned buildings, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized activity and report unusual conditions. Monitor access points and help to enforce site access procedures by verifying credentials, screening visitors, and reporting policy violations or suspicious behavior. Support emergency and routine operations by assisting with evacuations, providing visible presence during high‑traffic periods, and completing required reports on patrol activity, incidents, and/or hazards. Minimum Requirements: Have 3 or more years of combined law enforcement, military, and/or security‑related experience or a college degree. Be a graduate of a law enforcement or military police training program or equivalent. Possess an armed guard card or license. Be at least 21 years of age. A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements. Possess a corrections officer license. Have a DD214 with honorable discharge or an associate degree or 60 college credits or a police academy certificate or a corrections academy certificate. Possess a law enforcement officer license. Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles. Possess a high school diploma or equivalent. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law. Participate in industry‑specific security training programs. Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment. A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
