Accounting Assistant Responsibilities

As our Accounting Assistant, you'll play an important role in supporting the day-to-day accounting operations by managing both Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable functions.

Responsibilities include:

• Process Accounts Payable invoices, coding, approvals, and payment processing
• Manage Accounts Receivable, customer invoicing, payment posting, and collections follow-up
• Reconcile vendor statements and customer accounts
• Assist with month-end and year-end accounting processes
• Maintain accurate accounting records and financial documentation
• Prepare reports and assist with financial reconciliations
• Support budgeting and general accounting activities
• Handle Certificates of Insurance (COIs), permits, and related administrative documentation
• Work closely with vendors, customers, and internal departments to resolve accounting issues
• Assist with additional accounting projects as assigned

Accounting Assistant Qualifications

We're looking for someone who brings:

• 3+ years of Accounting Assistant, Accounting Clerk, AP/AR Specialist, or Bookkeeper experience
• Hands-on experience with both Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable
• Experience with invoice processing, billing, reconciliations, and payment posting
• Strong Microsoft Excel and accounting software skills
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
• Strong communication and customer service abilities
• A positive, team-oriented attitude and willingness to learn

Compensation & Benefits

• Salary up to $70,000
