Key Responsibilities

• Direct and oversee individualized physical therapy treatment plans aimed at preventing disability, relieving pain, restoring muscle function, and maximizing clients' physical capabilities according to their unique therapeutic needs.
• Conduct initial and ongoing evaluations of clients, utilizing advanced diagnostic techniques to assess muscle, nerve, joint, and functional capabilities.
• Provide hands-on therapy, including administering manual therapeutic exercises, traction, and massage techniques, while also guiding clients through non-manual exercises and functional activities.
• Collaborate closely with physical therapy assistants to ensure effective implementation of treatment plans and offer guidance where required by state law.
• Assess clients' home environments, offering tailored recommendations for modifications to enhance their independence post-rehabilitation.
• Document and maintain accurate clinical records, including evaluations, care plans, progress notes, and discharge summaries, in accordance with regulatory requirements and best practices.
• Participate actively in interdisciplinary team meetings to evaluate treatment plans and make informed recommendations to enhance client outcomes.
• Educate clients and their families about their treatment plans, teaching them effective uses and maintenance of physical therapy devices and promoting adherence to their therapy regimens.
• Maintain timely communication and documentation as per company policy to support shared and informed decision-making across the care team.
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and partake in relevant training sessions to enhance your skills and expertise in the field.

Patient Population / Client Focus

The client population we serve is diverse, including patients recovering from orthopedic surgeries, sports injuries, chronic pain, and neurological conditions. Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited physical therapy program; current and valid physical therapist licensure in the state of Virginia.
• A minimum of one year of experience as a practicing physical therapist, preferably in an acute care or home care setting.
• Current CPR certification and a valid driver's license with auto insurance.

Compensation and Benefits
