Key Responsibilities

As a Physical Therapist at Concentra Rehabilitation Center, your responsibilities will include:

• Conducting comprehensive assessments of patients to determine their physical therapy needs and developing individualized treatment plans in collaboration with referring physicians.
• Implementing various therapeutic interventions, including exercises, modalities, and manual techniques designed to enhance rehabilitation outcomes and promote functional independence.
• Providing education and support to patients and their caregivers regarding treatment strategies and injury prevention, fostering an understanding of their rehabilitation process.
• Utilizing evidence-based practices to maximize patient outcomes while adhering to established protocols and safety standards.
• Tracking patient progress and modifying treatment plans as necessary to ensure the best possible recovery.
• Participating in interdisciplinary team meetings to discuss patient care and contribute insights from physical therapy.

Qualifications

To qualify for this position, candidates must possess the following:

• A Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy is required, and a Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) is preferred.
• A valid license to practice as a Physical Therapist in the state of Virginia.
• Completion of a physical therapy program accredited by the American Physical Therapy Association (APTA) or the Commission on Accreditation in Physical Therapy Education (CAPTE).
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills, along with a solid grasp of modern technology, including electronic health record systems.

Preferred Experience

While 2 years of pertinent experience is required, candidates with a background in varied rehabilitation specialties or in similar clinical environments may find themselves excel in this role. Strong relational skills for establishing rapport with patients and community stakeholders will also enhance your aptitude for this position.

Compensation and Benefits
