Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct individual and group counseling sessions aimed at addressing the needs of patients dealing with co-occurring mental health and substance use disorders. Schedule regular direct service hours to ensure consistent care.

• Complete thorough bio-psychosocial assessments to evaluate each client’s mental health and substance use history, guiding the development of personalized treatment plans.

• Facilitate treatment planning meetings, collaborating with clients to establish and review initial treatment strategies that address their unique circumstances and goals.

• Develop aftercare and discharge plans in conjunction with each patient, ensuring continued support and resources as they progress through their recovery journey.

• Evaluate and monitor the delivery of counseling services, ensuring they are efficient and effective in achieving positive patient outcomes.

• Assist supervisors with any additional related duties that align with the agency’s mission and operational needs.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

The primary client population consists of individuals experiencing co-occurring disorders and chemical dependence, including adults and adolescents. Qualifications\n

• A Master’s degree in Mental Health Counseling, Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Psychology, or a related field.

• Valid licensure as an LMHC, LCSW, LMFT, or PsyD in New York State.

• A minimum of two years of post-licensure experience in a clinical setting, working directly with patients.
\n
• Demonstrated experience in providing marriage and family therapy services to a diverse clientele.

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, capable of building trust and rapport with clients.

• Ability to work independently while also being an effective team player.
\n
• A compassionate, non-judgmental attitude towards clients, valuing their journey and challenges.

Compensation and Benefits\n
