Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough mental health evaluations and initial assessments to determine the needs of clients, ensuring a comprehensive understanding of their psychological state.

• Develop individualized treatment plans tailored to the specific needs of clients, which may include strategies for managing anxiety, depression, trauma, and behavioral concerns.

• Facilitate individual and group therapy sessions, utilizing various therapeutic modalities to promote engagement and effective coping strategies among participants.

• Document client progress meticulously throughout the treatment process, adjusting intervention plans and techniques based on observed outcomes and feedback.

• Collaborate closely with interdisciplinary teams, including other mental health professionals, medical practitioners, and social workers, to provide integrated care for clients.

• Monitor clients’ medication management by following up with psychiatrists and other healthcare providers, ensuring a cohesive approach to treatment.

• Engage with families and caregivers, offering guidance and support to help them understand mental health challenges and improve dynamics at home.

• Manage referrals to additional services as necessary, connecting clients with resources for housing, employment, and support to enhance overall life balance.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

In this role, you will work primarily with a diverse population including children, adolescents, adults, and families. Our clients may present with a range of mental health concerns such as anxiety disorders, mood disorders, trauma-related conditions, and substance use issues. By understanding cultural nuances and unique challenges, you will be equipped to provide tailored counseling that resonates deeply with our clients’ lived experiences.

Qualifications\n

• A Bachelor’s Degree in Social Work, Counseling, Psychology, or a related field is required.

• Current licensure as an LMHC, LCSW, LMFT or equivalent in the state of New York.

• Demonstrable proficiency in electronic health record systems, preferably with specific familiarity with AVATAR software.

• Strong written and verbal communication skills, essential for effective client interactions and documentation.

• Exceptional empathy and interpersonal skills to build rapport with clients and their families.

Preferred Experience\n
