Business Development Manager (Outside Sales) Territory: Manhattan, NY | Home office: Congers, NY | Monday to Friday, 6:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.

$120,000 base plus uncapped commission on gross profit. First year on target total compensation: $160,000. No cap.

This role is for A players who love the thrill of getting a prospect to buy.

If you enjoy the pure art of selling, understanding what a customer actually needs, drawing out the objections, and using a genuinely better offer to convert, keep reading. Your primary focus is new revenue growth.

Expect ten face to face conversations a day, and expect to get value out of every one. We do not need check-in calls. We need conversations that move the ball down the field. Our BDMs are the face of PowerPak, and we take pride in having the best sales team in the industry.

What you own

• Your territory's sales. Monthly revenue and gross profit targets.
• New customers. Visit and quote enough buyers to hit new customer targets.
• New revenue growth. Add product lines and grow share in the accounts you already have.
• Negotiation. Work with an internal Account Manager on pricing and closing.
• Territory profitability. Protect margin. Route inquiries through the right channel.

The pay is high because the bar is high. You must have:

• Two or more years in a customer facing B2B sales role
• A revenue and gross profit target you have carried and hit
• The stamina and skill to hold ten quality face to face conversations a day
• The instinct to draw out objections and close, not check in
• Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record
• Discipline to keep a CRM current so nothing gets lost

Nice to have: construction, utility, or infrastructure experience. Face to face selling.

No degree required. We care what you have sold and how you sold it.

Schedule and travel

Minimum four days a week on the road in your metro area. Into Congers when needed. Your first week is on site in Congers for training.

Hiring process

A sales assessment, intro call with HR, a one on one with the hiring manager, then a face to face final. About two weeks. You will hear from us either way.
