Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive assessments and screenings of students, identifying mental health concerns and formulating tailored treatment plans.

• Develop and implement individualized therapeutic interventions using evidence-based practices such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and solution-focused techniques.

• Facilitate engaging individual and group therapy sessions that encourage student participation and foster coping skills.

• Collaborate with school administrators, teachers, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate care and create a supportive environment for students.

• Provide educational resources and support to families, enhancing their understanding of mental health issues and active involvement in their children's recovery.

• Maintain meticulous and confidential documentation of client interactions and treatment plans, ensuring compliance with ethical and regulatory standards.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Your primary focus will be on a diverse student population ranging from elementary to high school age. You will support students facing various challenges including anxiety, depression, trauma, and behavioral issues. By fostering a safe and welcoming atmosphere, you will help students express their feelings and develop positive coping strategies that can enhance their academic and personal lives.

Qualifications\n

• A current and valid state license as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC), or Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) .

• A Bachelor's degree in Counseling, Social Work, Psychology, or a related field, with preference for candidates holding advanced degrees.

• Demonstrated expertise in mental health counseling, particularly in educational settings, with at least two years of relevant experience .

• Strong knowledge of evidence-based practices and a solid understanding of adolescent mental health.

• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills that facilitate collaborative relationships with students, families, and colleagues.

Preferred Experience\n

Experience working within school systems, understanding the unique challenges faced by students, and familiarity with resources available to support youth mental health is highly desirable. Applicants with prior experience developing school-wide initiatives for mental health awareness will be given preference.
