Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive assessments and screenings of students' mental health needs, identifying potential challenges and support systems.

• Develop, implement, and review personalized treatment plans that clearly outline therapeutic goals and strategies, adapting them as necessary based on the evolving needs of each student.

• Facilitate individual and group therapy sessions using evidence-based approaches such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and other modalities tailored to youth.

• Collaborate closely with educators, school administration, families, and other mental health professionals to create an integrated support system for each student and ensure continuity of care.

• Actively involve parents and guardians in the therapeutic process, offering education on mental health topics and resources to enhance their child’s healing journey.

• Maintain meticulous and confidential documentation of client sessions, treatment plans, and progress notes while complying with ethical and legal standards.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

In this role, you will work predominantly with students facing a variety of emotional and behavioral challenges, such as anxiety, depression, trauma, and social skills deficits. You will be instrumental in providing immediate crisis intervention, conducting follow-ups, and ensuring that each child feels seen, heard, and supported throughout their mental health journey.

Qualifications\n

• A valid and current license as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), or Doctor of Psychology (PsyD).

• A bachelor’s degree in Psychology, Social Work, Counseling, or a related field, with a strong preference for candidates holding a master’s or doctoral degree.

• Demonstrable training or relevant experience in mental health counseling, specifically with youth and adolescents.

• Proficient understanding of evidence-based practices applicable to various mental health disorders, especially within a school setting.

• Strong therapeutic skills with the ability to build rapport and inspire confidence in students and their families.

• Excellent communication and teamwork capabilities, fostering collaborative relationships with diverse stakeholders, including parents, educators, and support staff.

Preferred Experience\n

• A minimum of two years’ experience in mental health counseling, preferably in a school or youth setting.
