Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive mental health assessments and screenings to gauge students' emotional and psychological needs, ensuring that individualized treatment approaches are developed.

• Create and implement tailored treatment plans that align with the specific requirements of each student, incorporating feedback from educators, parents, and the students themselves.

• Facilitate both individual and group therapy sessions, employing evidence-based strategies such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) to promote emotional regulation and coping skills.

• Collaborate closely with interdisciplinary teams, including school staff, educational psychologists, and mental health advocates, to establish a coordinated care approach for students.

• Provide guidance and education to families, enhancing their understanding of their child’s mental health challenges and fostering active participation in their child’s recovery journey.

• Document all clinical interactions thoroughly and maintain confidentiality, adhering strictly to HIPAA regulations and ethical standards within mental health practice.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

This role focuses primarily on children and adolescents aged 5 to 18, who may be dealing with various mental health issues such as anxiety, depression, ADHD, trauma, and behavioral challenges. As a therapist, you will work diligently to create a trusting and safe space where students feel comfortable expressing their thoughts and emotions.

Qualifications\n

• Possession of a valid and current state license as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), or Doctor of Psychology (PsyD).

• A Bachelor’s degree in Social Work, Psychology, Counseling, or a related field is required; a Master’s degree or Doctoral degree is preferred.

• Demonstrated experience in mental health counseling, particularly with school-aged populations.
