Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive assessments to evaluate the mental health needs of students and develop personalized treatment plans that align with their academic and emotional development.

• Facilitate both individual and group therapy sessions utilizing evidence-based therapeutic practices to enhance students’ coping skills and emotional resilience.

• Collaborate closely with educators, parents, and other mental health professionals, including psychiatrists and clinical psychologists, to create an integrated support system for students.

• Implement crisis intervention strategies as necessary, responding promptly to acute emotional or psychological issues to maintain student safety.

• Provide educational resources and guidance for families, enhancing their understanding of mental health challenges and promoting their active involvement in the recovery process.

• Maintain thorough and accurate electronic health records in line with confidentiality requirements and adhere to ethical guidelines.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

This role primarily serves students ranging from elementary to high school ages, along with their families. You will address a diverse array of mental health concerns, including anxiety, depression, trauma-related issues, and behavioral challenges. Emphasizing cultural competence, our therapists are encouraged to understand and respect the varied backgrounds of our client base.

Qualifications\n

• A valid and current license as either a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), or Doctor of Psychology (PsyD).

• A bachelor’s degree in Social Work, Psychology, Counseling, or a related field; advanced degrees are preferred.
\n
• Demonstrated experience in mental health counseling with a focus on children and adolescents.
\n
• Knowledge of and experience with evidence-based therapeutic practices applicable to various mental health disorders.
\n
• Outstanding interpersonal, therapeutic, and communication skills, establishing trust and rapport with clients and their families.

Preferred Experience\n

• At least two years of experience in a counseling role, particularly in a school or educational setting.

• Experience with electronic health record systems and assessments specific to youth mental health.
\n
• Specialized training in trauma-informed care or specific therapeutic modalities such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), or others.

Compensation and Benefits\n

• Competitive salary range of $60,000 to $104,000 annually, based on experience and credentials.
