Work Environment\n

This role is primarily remote, allowing for flexibility while ensuring that therapy sessions are tailored to fit the needs of our school-based clientele. You will have a structured schedule, working from Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with the possibility of adjusted hours depending on student needs. Collaborating with a multidisciplinary team, you will contribute to a supportive network that prioritizes both professional growth and effective patient outcomes.

Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough mental health assessments for students to identify individual needs, co-occurring disorders, and establish personalized treatment plans tailored to their unique experiences.

• Utilize evidence-based therapeutic approaches such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Solution-Focused Therapy while providing individual, family, and group counseling sessions.

• Facilitate psychoeducational groups aimed at enhancing coping skills among students, helping them navigate common mental health issues in a supportive community environment.

• Collaborate closely with other mental health professionals, educators, and school staff to ensure comprehensive and coordinated care for students.

• Provide crisis intervention services, equipping students with the skills needed to manage acute mental health issues and navigate emergencies.

• Engage in continuous education to remain up-to-date with the latest mental health interventions and practices, thereby enhancing service delivery standards.

• Maintain secure and accurate clinical documentation in adherence to ethical and legal requirements while utilizing electronic health record (EHR) systems effectively.

• Participate actively in case reviews, team meetings, and professional development initiatives to advocate for interdisciplinary collaboration.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Your primary focus will be working with a diverse student population, including children and adolescents experiencing a range of mental health challenges. This role requires a deep understanding of age-related mental health issues, social dynamics affecting youth, and the ability to engage sensitively with each student to foster trust and openness.

Qualifications\n

• A Master's or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Mental Health Counseling, Marriage and Family Therapy, or Psychology from an accredited institution is required.

• Current and valid licensure as Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), or Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) in New Jersey.

• Expertise in conducting mental health assessments and crafting effective treatment strategies for diverse populations.

• Outstanding interpersonal skills, with strong communication abilities to engage students, families, and professionals alike.

• Thorough understanding of ethical guidelines and professional standards within mental health practice.

Preferred Experience\n

• Minimum of two years of experience working in a mental health or therapeutic setting, particularly focusing on adolescent and school-age populations.

Compensation and Benefits\n

The salary range for this position is competitive, between USD 80,000 and USD 100,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
