Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough intake assessments and mental health screenings to accurately evaluate the diverse psychological needs of students, employing both direct interview techniques and standardized tools.

• Provide short-term therapeutic interventions, including individual counseling and crisis intervention services, geared towards students facing a range of issues from academic stress to more profound mental health challenges.

• Develop and facilitate engaging therapy groups and workshops, covering relevant topics such as coping strategies, stress relief, mindfulness, and self-care, thereby enhancing community support among student peers.

• Collaborate closely with on-campus partners including academic advisors and wellness staff to implement comprehensive support systems, ensuring that students receive holistic guidance throughout their educational journey.

• Participate in outreach initiatives and prevention programs, such as mental health awareness campaigns and community wellness events, aiming to destigmatize mental health issues and promote resilience among students.

Qualifications\n

• Possession of a valid and current license such as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC), Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker (LICSW), or Doctor of Psychology (PsyD).

• A minimum of a Master’s or Doctoral degree in Counseling, Psychology, Social Work, or related field is essential.
