Key Responsibilities\n

As a Mental Health Counselor, your daily responsibilities will include:

• Conducting thorough psychosocial assessments for students, their families, and groups to accurately gauge mental health needs and develop tailored intervention strategies.

• Implementing graduate-level clinical social work and counseling interventions that address the specific needs of students in an educational context.

• Collaborating with interdisciplinary teams through documentation and regular meetings to ensure holistic care planning and communication regarding treatment interventions.

• Providing case management for assigned clients by consulting with schools, parents, and community professionals to create a cohesive support system for students.

• Completing documentation ethically and promptly, adhering to department standards and ensuring compliance with relevant regulations.

• Utilizing evidence-based treatment modalities such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to assist students in developing coping strategies and achieving their personal goals.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

You will primarily serve students within the school system, each with diverse backgrounds and unique mental health challenges. This demographic includes children and adolescents facing issues such as anxiety, depression, behavioral concerns, and social challenges. Your role will focus on developing trusting relationships with these young individuals, supporting their emotional and psychological growth while ensuring their safety and well-being in a school environment.

Qualifications\n

The ideal candidate for this position will possess the following qualifications:

• A current and valid license as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), or Doctor of Psychology (PsyD).

• A minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree in Social Work, Psychology, or a related field.

• A minimum of 2 years of clinical experience in mental health counseling or social work.

Preferred Experience\n
