Work Environment\n

This role is conducted in a telehealth setting, allowing counselors to connect with their clients via secure digital platforms. You will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of child psychiatrists, therapists, and support staff to ensure that each child receives comprehensive care tailored to their unique needs. The work schedule is Monday through Friday, 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with occasional evening shifts based on client availability and necessity.

Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough mental health evaluations to assess the psychosocial needs of children and adolescents.

• Design and implement individualized treatment plans that incorporate evidence-based therapeutic approaches and consider the developmental context of each patient.

• Utilize cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), play therapy, and family systems approaches to deliver targeted interventions for mental health conditions.

• Facilitate family therapy sessions aimed at enhancing family dynamics and supporting caregivers in nurturing environments.

• Respond to mental health crises by providing immediate support and strategies to stabilize the emotional well-being of young clients.

• Educate clients and their families about mental health matters, treatment methodologies, and available community resources.

• Maintain precise and confidential documentation of all client interactions to comply with state regulations and ethical practices.

• Participate in team meetings, case discussions, and professional development initiatives to continuously improve clinical practices and share insights.

• Stay updated on advancements in child and adolescent psychiatry to enhance service delivery and therapeutic techniques.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

You will primarily serve children and adolescents struggling with a range of mental health issues, including anxiety disorders, depression, attention-deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), and various behavioral challenges. Your role is vital in providing a safe space where these young individuals can express themselves and receive appropriate support, leading to transformative changes in their lives.

Qualifications\n

• A Master's or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• A current and valid licensure as an LCSW, LPCC, or LMFT in California is required.

• A strong foundation in child and adolescent mental health disorders and familiarity with evidence-based treatment modalities is essential.

• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, underpinned by a compassionate, child-centered approach to counseling.

• Proficiency in using electronic health record (EHR) systems and other relevant technology.

Preferred Experience\n

• At least two years of post-licensure experience working with children and adolescents in a clinical setting.

Compensation and Benefits\n

The position offers a competitive salary between USD 115,000 and 130,000 annually. Additionally, we provide a sign-on bonus to new hires.
