Work Environment The position is onsite, providing a hands-on opportunity to work directly in a home care setting. Within our team, you will collaborate closely with fellow physical therapists, occupational therapists, and support staff in a dynamic, flexible environment that promotes open communication and shared best practices. Our schedules are designed with flexibility in mind, generally spanning Monday through Friday for a total of 40 hours per week. Key Responsibilities Deliver high-quality and compassionate care to patients in both home care and outpatient settings, ensuring their comfort and safety during treatment. Develop and implement tailored treatment plans based on a thorough evaluation of each patient's physical capabilities, medical history, and specific orthopedic conditions. Conduct comprehensive evaluations, which include reviewing medical histories, performing detailed assessments, and determining suitable recommendations for further care. Manage discharge planning effectively, ensuring that patients receive appropriate follow-up care and that documentation meets regulatory standards, including proactive creation of initial evaluation and treatment plans, daily progress notes, and discharge summaries. Maintain compliance with all corporate policies and state/local regulatory requirements while continually enhancing clinical skills through ongoing education and training. Communicate openly and respectfully with patients, their families, co-workers, and other healthcare professionals to ensure a cohesive treatment approach and foster trust. Participate in team meetings and contribute to discussions that shape clinical protocols and care standards. Patient Population / Client Focus The successful candidate will work primarily with patients recovering from various orthopedic conditions, including post-surgical rehabilitation, sports injuries, and chronic pain management. Our goal is to improve their functional outcomes and enhance their quality of life by employing evidence-based therapies and individualized care strategies. Qualifications A Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) degree from an accredited institution is required. A valid license to practice physical therapy in the State of New Jersey must be obtained. Current certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers from the American Heart Association is mandatory. Preferred Experience A minimum of 2 years of relevant clinical experience in orthopedic settings is preferred, showcasing a strong foundation in evaluation and treatment methodologies. Compensation and Benefits This position offers a competitive salary range of USD 100,000 to 120,000 annually, commensurate with experience.
