Work Environment

The successful candidate will work in a home care setting, where therapy is not confined to a clinic but occurs in the familiar surroundings of the clients' homes. Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough evaluations of new clients to assess their physical capabilities and identify specific treatment needs.
• Utilize standard assessment tools and techniques to create comprehensive treatment plans that align with each client's personal goals and functional needs.
• Continuously monitor and document client progress during their treatment journey, making necessary adjustments in consultation with healthcare professionals.
• Engage with an interdisciplinary team that includes physicians, nurses, and occupational therapists to coordinate holistic care.
• Educate clients and their families about recommended home exercise programs and lifestyle modifications essential for maintaining and improving their physical health.
• Administer a range of therapeutic interventions, including manual therapy, therapeutic exercises, and training in the use of assistive devices as appropriate.
• Stay informed about best practices and legal regulations in physical therapy to ensure compliance with state and federal standards.

Patient Population / Client Focus

This position focuses primarily on orthopedic cases and geriatric patients, addressing a variety of conditions such as post-surgical rehabilitation, chronic pain management, joint disorders, and mobility issues. You will work closely with individuals recovering from orthopedic surgeries or sustaining injuries, offering supportive care tailored to enhance their comfort and enhance recovery outcomes.

Qualifications

• A current and valid license as a Physical Therapist in the state of Florida.
• A Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy is mandatory, with a Master's or Doctorate degree highly preferred.
• Candidates should be adept in the therapeutic approaches specific to orthopedic care, demonstrating a deep understanding of anatomy and kinesiology.

Compensation and Benefits
