Work Environment

This position is onsite, providing therapy directly in the homes of our clients. The home care setting allows for an intimate and flexible approach to rehabilitation, adapting to the unique environments and circumstances of each patient. You will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure that our services align with best practices in orthopedic care. The typical work schedule is from Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, allowing you to maintain a healthy work-life balance.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough assessments to identify patients' functional deficits and rehabilitation goals.
• Create and implement customized care plans that may include therapeutic exercises, manual therapy, and modalities to enhance movement and function.
• Utilize evidence-based practices to inspire and motivate patients as they work towards regaining strength and mobility.
• Regularly monitor patient progress, modifying interventions as necessary to meet evolving needs.
• Provide education to patients and families regarding treatment protocols, home exercise programs, and self-management strategies.
• Collaborate with healthcare colleagues, including physicians and occupational therapists, to ensure comprehensive patient care and continuity of services.
• Document patient interactions and treatment outcomes in compliance with regulatory standards and organizational policies.

Patient Population / Client Focus

You will primarily work with a diverse patient population suffering from various orthopedic conditions, including post-surgical rehabilitation, musculoskeletal injuries, and chronic pain disorders. By leveraging your expertise, you'll help clients of all ages improve their physical capabilities and achieve a higher quality of life. Your ability to adapt therapeutic approaches for different patient personalities will be key in fostering trust and enhancing recovery outcomes.

Qualifications

• A Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program; a Master's Degree or Doctorate is preferred.
• Active Florida state license to practice as a Physical Therapist.
• A minimum of two years' experience in orthopedic rehabilitation, with a strong focus on musculoskeletal issues.
• Proficiency in developing and implementing patient-specific treatment plans.
• Exceptional communication skills and the ability to build rapport with patients and their families.
• Capability to manage diverse patient personalities and adapt communication styles accordingly.

Preferred Experience

Compensation and Benefits
