Work Environment

This position operates in an onsite home care setting within the Clearwater area. You will be part of a small, dynamic team of physical therapists that work closely to deliver comprehensive rehabilitation services. Our clinic primarily serves patients who are covered by commercial insurance and private pay arrangements, enabling us to provide flexible and individualized care.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough evaluations to identify patient needs, establishing personalized treatment protocols focused on improving mobility and restoring function.
• Engage one-on-one with patients, dedicating 40 minutes per patient visit to ensure that treatments are effective and tailored to individual recovery goals.
• Implement a variety of treatment techniques and therapeutic modalities aimed at enhancing patients' physical capabilities and mitigating pain.
• Develop and execute structured care plans that may include exercises, manual therapy, and patient education.
• Encourage patients throughout their rehabilitation journey, effectively motivating them to adhere to their personalized fitness and wellness programs.
• Document patient care by accurately maintaining electronic medical records in our Athena Health system, ensuring all treatment procedures and outcomes are clearly recorded.
• Collaborate with a network of healthcare professionals to deliver a holistic approach to patient treatment, including follow-ups and adjustments to care plans as required.

Patient Population / Client Focus

As a Physical Therapist in our home care setting, you will primarily work with individuals who have orthopedic injuries and conditions. This includes athletes seeking rehabilitation to enhance performance, as well as patients recovering from surgeries or trauma. Your role will not only involve physical treatment but also educating clients about preventive measures and optimal health practices to maintain their rehabilitation progress.

Qualifications

• A valid Florida State license to practice Physical Therapy.
• A Bachelor's degree or higher (Master's or Doctorate) in Physical Therapy from an accredited institution.
• A minimum of two years of clinical experience as a Physical Therapist, specifically in an outpatient or home care setting.
• Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate with patients and tailor approaches to manage diverse needs and personalities.
• Strong commitment to ongoing professional development and staying informed on the latest practices in physical therapy.

Preferred Experience

• Experience working with athletes and understanding sports-related injuries is highly desirable.
• Proficiency with EMR systems, particularly Athena Health, which will enhance efficiency in managing patient records.
• Prior experience in a collaborative multidisciplinary environment is beneficial.

Compensation and Benefits

The salary for this position ranges from USD 80,000 to 95,000 annually, depending on experience, coupled with a comprehensive benefits package. This includes:
