Job Description
The New Business Development Manager drives the growth of new sales channels and expands into untapped market segments. Reporting directly to the CEO/Founder, this role balances acquisition of new clients with expansion of existing accounts, leading a medium-sized team of 4 to 10 members. Occasional travel is required to build strategic relationships and explore business opportunities.
Responsibilities
- Develop and execute strategies to penetrate new sales channels and market segments
- Lead and mentor a medium-sized business development team
- Identify and cultivate relationships with key prospects and partners
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align sales efforts with company goals
- Analyze market trends to inform business development strategies
- Manage the full sales cycle from lead generation to closing deals
- Report progress and insights directly to the CEO/Founder
- Travel occasionally to engage with clients and attend industry events
Preferred Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in business development
- Master's degree in Business or MBA
- Expertise in sales strategy, market research, and lead generation
- Strong networking and communication skills
- Analytical thinking and project management capabilities
