Reno Staffing is looking for a Machinist for a Manufacturing Company in the Sparks Area!

Hose Master is seeking a reliable and detailoriented Machinist to join their team. This is a temptohire opportunity with longterm stability. The client appreciates a wellputtogether employee—well groomed, shirts tucked in, and work boots worn daily.

Shift:  Monday – Friday, 8:00am – 4:30pm

Pay: $23 and up DOE

Location: Sparks, NV (On bus route)

Summary:

The Machinist is responsible for preparing parts for welding and fabrication, performing general machine repair, and assisting with troubleshooting equipment issues that may be mechanical or electrical. This role requires precision, strong math skills, and the ability to operate various machining equipment.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Other duties may be assigned.

• Plan and select the best machining methods to achieve desired tolerance, speed, and finish

• Perform calculations for forming work pieces, speed, and feed

• Select tools and materials; plan cutting and finishing sequences

• Mark work pieces for accurate cutting

• Operate mills, lathes, drill presses, and cutting equipment

• Troubleshoot mechanical and electrical equipment issues

• Perform general maintenance on tooling and fixtures

• Use forklift/tow motor to move shipments, load/unload trucks, and change gas tanks

• Ability to react to change productively and handle additional tasks as assigned

At the discretion of your lead or supervisor, you could be required to perform additional jobrelated activities not specifically outlined above.

Competency:

To perform the job successfully, an individual should demonstrate the following competencies:

• Ability to understand and follow English instructions

• Ability to read and understand all measuring devices

• Strong math skills

• Ability to operate a lift truck

• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs; push/pull up to 70 lbs; transfer 50–100 lbs with assistance

• Ability to stand for long periods and use hand/power tools

• Good vision required

A resume and interview are required to be considered for this position.

A 9 panel drug test will be required after interview. Not tested for THC.
