Key Responsibilities

As a Physical Therapist at Broward Physical Therapy, you will be responsible for:

• Developing comprehensive treatment plans tailored to each patient's individual needs, aimed at improving mobility, strength, and overall functional capabilities.
• Conducting thorough evaluations of patients' physical abilities and designing tailored exercise programs, placing a focus on injury prevention and rehabilitation.
• Collaborating with physical therapy assistants to ensure effective implementation of treatment plans and providing additional training as required.
• Utilizing your skills to administer therapeutic exercises, manual therapy, and modalities such as ultrasound or electrical stimulation to enhance patient outcomes.
• Monitoring and documenting patient progress, making necessary adjustments to treatment plans as needed, and communicating updates to interdisciplinary team members.
• Participating actively in case conferences, providing insights on patient care and rehabilitation strategies to promote a holistic approach to treatment.
• Educating patients and their families on home exercise programs and the proper use of assistive devices to enhance recovery.
• Meeting all documentation and compliance requirements by maintaining accurate clinical records, including initial evaluations, progress notes, and discharge summaries.

Patient Population / Client Focus

This position primarily involves working with diverse outpatient clients seeking rehabilitation following surgery, injury, or chronic conditions. Our patient population ranges from pediatric to geriatric, requiring the Physical Therapist to be adaptable in their approach. You will play a pivotal role in guiding patients through their recovery journey, utilizing evidence-based practices and empathetic communication to enhance their experiences.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess:

• A Doctorate degree in Physical Therapy (DPT) from an accredited institution.
• A valid physical therapy license in the state of Virginia.
• Current CPR certification to ensure the highest level of patient safety.
• A strong dedication to clinical excellence, emphasizing a patient-centered approach in all interactions.
• Excellent interpersonal communication skills, capable of building rapport with patients and families.

Preferred Experience

Preferred qualifications include at least 2 years of experience in outpatient care.
