Key Responsibilities\n

• Perform comprehensive assessments to evaluate the severity and impact of mood disorders on clients’ lives, utilizing standardized assessment tools and methodologies.

• Design and implement individualized treatment plans in collaboration with clients, ensuring they align with their personal goals and therapeutic needs.

• Utilize evidence-based therapeutic modalities such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) to facilitate skill development and emotional regulation.

• Provide psychoeducation to clients and their families to enhance understanding of mood disorders, treatment strategies, and effective self-care practices.
\n
• Monitor client progress and adjust treatment plans accordingly, maintaining open communication with clients about their experiences and needs.
\n
• Engage in regular consultation with psychiatrists and other healthcare providers to ensure a holistic approach to client care that encompasses both mental and physical health.

• Stay informed about the latest research, trends, and developments in the field of mental health to continually improve therapeutic practices.
\n
• Maintain accurate and confidential records of client interactions, assessments, and treatment outcomes in compliance with ethical and legal standards.

• Contribute to team meetings and case consultations, sharing insights and learning from colleagues to foster ongoing professional growth.

• Advocate for clients by promoting awareness and understanding of mental health issues while working to reduce the stigma associated with mood disorders.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

In this role, you will primarily work with a diverse population facing a variety of mood disorders, ranging from mild to severe. Clients may include adults, teenagers, and their families. The goal is to provide tailored support to help individuals navigate their emotional and psychological challenges effectively.

Qualifications\n

• A valid license as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), or Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC).

• A Master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy, Social Work, or a related field, along with current licensure.
\n
• At least three years of relevant clinical experience, particularly working with clients experiencing mood and emotional disorders.
\n
• Strong understanding of California State Laws and professional ethical standards governing mental health practice.
\n
• An up-to-date background check through the FBI and DOJ is required.
\n
• A recent Tuberculosis (TB) test (within the last six months) must be cleared prior to employment.
\n

Preferred Experience\n

• Experience working with clients with co-occurring issues, such as learning disabilities, behavioral challenges, or social-emotional disorders.

• Familiarity with addiction counseling techniques and approaches is a plus.
\n

Compensation and Benefits\n
