Position Overview

Perspectives in Healing, a leading provider of mental health services, is in search of a dedicated and compassionate Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner to join our team in Port St. Lucie, Florida. This full-time role is based onsite and offers an annual salary ranging from USD 200,000 to $250,000, commensurate with experience and qualifications. Work Environment

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive psychiatric assessments to diagnose various mental health conditions, utilizing evidence-based practices.
• Manage medication therapy for patients, monitoring treatment efficacy and making necessary adjustments to enhance recovery outcomes.
• Collaborate with primary care providers and multidisciplinary team members to facilitate integrated health care solutions for patients.
• Provide crisis intervention strategies and emotional support during acute mental health episodes, guiding patients through their most challenging moments.
• Engage actively in community outreach efforts and educational initiatives aimed at promoting mental health awareness and destigmatizing mental illness.
• Deliver therapeutic support, including counseling and psychoeducation, tailored to the unique needs of patients and their families.
• Ensure accurate and confidential documentation of patient interactions in compliance with HIPAA regulations, maintaining the highest standards of patient privacy.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Our patient population consists of diverse individuals and families from various cultural backgrounds in the Port St. Lucie area, many of whom face socio-economic challenges. You will work with adolescents, adults, and elderly patients exhibiting a range of mental health needs. Our approach is patient-centered, focusing on individualized care plans that integrate physical and mental health concerns for comprehensive treatment.

Qualifications

• A Master’s degree in Nursing with a specialization in Psychiatric Mental Health.
• Valid state licensure as an Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) specifically in psychiatric care.
• Strong commitment to culturally competent care practices, enhancing the treatment experience for patients from diverse backgrounds.
• Proficiency in communication and interpersonal skills, enabling effective collaboration with patients and healthcare teams.

Preferred Experience

Compensation and Benefits
