Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct individual therapy sessions in a virtual setting, tailored to the specific needs and circumstances of clients.

• Facilitate group therapy sessions that address specific issues such as anger management, coping strategies, and social skills development.

• Work collaboratively with caregiver and youth decision-makers to tackle behavioral challenges within the home environment, enhancing effective problem-solving skills.

• Engage consistently with the Child Family Treatment Team and other professional collaborators to ensure comprehensive support for our clients.

• Timely completion and submission of all necessary client documentation, including treatment plans, progress notes, and intake assessments.
\n
• Participate in ongoing training sessions and attend monthly team meetings to share insights and recommendations that improve service delivery.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

As an LMFT at Watertown Regional Counseling Center, you will engage with a diverse client population, including adults, youth, and families. Your clinical expertise will assist clients facing various mental health challenges and life transitions, emphasizing a holistic and strength-based model of treatment. Your therapeutic interventions will contribute to improved mental health outcomes, empowering clients to make meaningful changes in their lives.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s degree in Counseling, Family Therapy, or a related field is required.

• An active and unrestricted LMFT license in California is a must.
\n
• Availability for a minimum of 5-10 hours per week during crucial after-school hours, specifically from 4 PM to 7 PM.

• A valid driver’s license and a registered vehicle to facilitate potential in-home client visits as needed.
\n
• Successful completion of a criminal background check, including fingerprinting, is mandatory.
\n

Preferred Experience\n

• At least two years of experience providing mental health support and intervention is preferred.

• Experience in providing positive behavioral support as part of therapeutic interventions will be highly regarded.
