Electro Mechanical Technician

We are looking for an Electro-mechanical Technician to join our team in Maple Grove, MN. This is an onsite position offering $35/hr. on a W2 basis. The role is expected to last at least 12 months with the potential for permanent placement. Candidates will operate on a 9/80 schedule and must be eligible to secure a Secret clearance. Applicants should possess either a 2-year technical degree or a minimum of 2 years of relevant professional experience. Proficiency in electro-mechanical assembly processes. Expertise in utilizing various electrical and manual hand tools. Ability to interpret complex mechanical and electrical diagrams. High level of precision and manual dexterity. Capability to perform micro/nano scale assembly and testing to ensure near-zero defect rates. Knowledge or certification in J-STD-001 standards. Experience executing tests with specialized electronic equipment. Competence in documenting and generating accurate test reports. Willingness to participate in a practical skills assessment during the interview process. Core Responsibilities Contribute to the Pilot and Pre-Production lines by assembling electronic products and support hardware. Follow both verbal and written instructions while utilizing engineering sketches to complete tasks. Maintain flexibility to work extra hours, including weekends, to meet project demands. Execute both repetitive and unique assembly tasks for mechanical and electronic subassemblies. Support the team by identifying process improvements and assisting in the transition of products to full production. Required Qualifications Demonstrated proficiency in operating electronic test equipment and assembly tools. Ability to analyze and translate electrical and mechanical sketches into finished products. Utilize fine motor skills to achieve high-precision assembly and testing results. Apply knowledge of J-STD-001 requirements to maintain high mechanical standards. Operate testing hardware such as meters and scopes to produce reliable data reports. Foster a collaborative environment through effective communication and teamwork. Help maintain a safe working environment for the entire team by adhering to all safety protocols. Physical capability to lift up to 35 lbs. Preferred Qualifications Provide constructive feedback to the team to enhance design and fabrication outcomes. Proactively troubleshoot and resolve complex assembly challenges. Experience operating Automated Test Equipment or Cirris systems. Skill in diagnosing and repairing electronic and electro-mechanical systems. Proficiency in IPC/WHMA-A-620 Class 3 and J-STD-001 quality standards. Foundational knowledge of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T). Education and Experience Candidates must hold a 2-year technical degree or have at least 2 years of experience in a production or prototype technician role. #J-18808-Ljbffr
