Key Responsibilities

• Assist licensed Physical Therapists in conducting patient evaluations and assessments, ensuring a sensitive and respectful approach tailored to individual patient needs.
• Collaborate with the Physical Therapist to modify treatment plans and exercises as necessary, prioritizing the health and comfort of our patients at all times.
• Utilize your instructional skills to guide and supervise patients during therapeutic exercises and activities, providing encouragement and fostering a supportive atmosphere.
• Administer various modalities—such as heat, cold, and electrical stimulation—while monitoring patient comfort and safety to enhance their rehabilitation experience.
• Educate patients and their families on effective techniques for exercising at home, emphasizing empathy and understanding to enhance their recovery journey.
• Continuously monitor patient progress, meticulously documenting treatment outcomes and adapting care as necessary, all while maintaining a compassionate demeanor.
• Communicate clearly and effectively with other healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated care, promoting seamless and effective patient experiences.
• Keep accurate and detailed patient records, demonstrating your commitment to excellent care and attention to detail.

Patient Population / Client Focus

You will primarily work with a diverse range of patients in an outpatient setting, including individuals recovering from surgeries, injuries, and chronic pain conditions. Our patients come from all walks of life, and your role will involve creating tailored treatment plans that reflect their unique needs and rehabilitation goals.

Qualifications

• An Associate's degree in Physical Therapy Assisting from an accredited institution.
• Current California state licensure or eligibility to obtain it as a Physical Therapist Assistant.
• A minimum of 1 year of clinical experience in a relevant healthcare setting.
• A solid understanding of physical therapy principles and practices, coupled with a genuine passion for aiding patients in achieving their goals.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, characterized by a caring and empathetic approach to patient care.

Compensation and Benefits
