This role is integral to our telehealth services offered remotely out of Hempstead, New York. Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough and culturally sensitive mental health assessments to better understand each patient's unique experiences, thereby developing tailored treatment plans that align with their specific needs.

• Implement evidence-based therapeutic interventions in a virtual setting, adapting techniques to accommodate cultural and personal considerations of each client.

• Provide individual, family, and group therapy sessions aimed at addressing a variety of mental health concerns, fostering resilience, and enhancing overall well-being.

• Collaborate with psychiatrists, psychologists, and other health professionals to ensure coordinated, effective treatment, involving regular communication and participation in treatment planning.

• Provide critical crisis intervention services for clients experiencing mental health emergencies, demonstrating calm and effective decision-making in high-pressure situations.

• Educate clients and their families about mental health diagnoses, treatment options, and community resources to facilitate informed decision-making and engagement in their care.

• Maintain detailed, accurate, and confidential clinical documentation, ensuring compliance with legal and ethical standards of practice.

• Actively participate in case conferences, team meetings, and professional development sessions focusing on cultural competence and the latest therapeutic practices.

• Stay abreast of current research and best practices in mental health, particularly concerning cultural considerations in therapy, to continually enhance service delivery.

Qualifications\n

• A valid Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• A current and valid state license as an LCSW, LPC, or LMFT to practice independently.
\n
• Extensive knowledge and understanding of various mental health disorders paired with proficiency in substantial evidence-based treatment approaches.

• Proven experience in providing individual and group therapy using culturally responsive techniques.
\n
• Strong crisis intervention skills and the ability to remain composed in pressing situations.
\n
• Exceptional interpersonal communication skills, with an ability to establish rapport and trust with a broad range of diverse clients.

• Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems and digital applications relevant to telehealth.
\n
• A strong commitment to adhering to professional ethics, maintaining client confidentiality, and exemplifying professional boundaries.

• A collaborative attitude and the ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team aimed at enhancing patient care.

Preferred Experience\n

• A minimum of two years of post-graduate clinical experience in a mental health setting.

• Experience with teletherapy and using virtual platforms effectively to engage clients remotely.

Compensation and Benefits\n
