Key Responsibilities\n

As a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist at Morris Counseling Services, your day-to-day responsibilities will include:

• Conducting comprehensive assessments to understand clients' needs and develop tailored treatment plans.

• Providing therapy sessions for couples, as well as individual sessions, to address the dynamics of family relationships.

• Specializing in various areas including but not limited to:\n

  • Alcohol and substance abuse issues.
  \n
  • Experiences of physical and psychological abuse.
  \n
  • Grief and loss, helping clients navigate the complexities of these feelings.
  \n
  • Conflicts among family members or siblings and facilitating resolution strategies.
  \n
  • Job-related stress and the associated impact on family dynamics.
  \n
  • Challenges presented by blended families, including remarriage and co-parenting issues.
  \n
  • Support during separation, divorce, and adjustment processes, along with improving communication skills within families.
  \n
  • Resolving mother/daughter conflicts and enhancing overall family communication.
  \n

• Collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to exchange insights and improve patient outcomes.

• Documenting client progress and maintaining comprehensive and confidential records.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Your work will encompass a diverse clientele which includes adults, children, and adolescents facing various emotional and relational challenges. Qualifications\n

To be considered for this position, candidates must possess the following qualifications:

• A Master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy or a related field.

• Current and active state licensure as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT).
