Store Manager & Visual Merchandiser - Full time, with benefits

About the role This role meaningfully contributes to the overall success and growth of our brick & mortar channel and reports directly to the store owner, acting as a liaison between our two storefronts and the owner. In addition to assisting on the sales floor, this role travels between both retail locations to keep day to day operations running smoothly. Main responsibilities includes, but are not limited to: training and continually coaching/managing all sales associates, maintaining visual merchandising standards across both stores, ensuring day-to-day protocols are being completed efficiently and accurately, handling escalated customer service issues, maintain constant communication with store owner about daily happenings, inventory needs, staff issues, and more. Three main skillsets are key here: visual merchandising, interpersonal skills with both customers and staff, and efficiency and strategy in day-to-day tasks. This role is suited for someone dynamic and high-performing with an artistic yet practical and strategic mindset, who is also great with people. We are looking for someone who deeply understands and embodies our brand ethos and who can use that understanding to help guide our continued growth and success. Location This role will move between our two Williamsburg, Brooklyn retail locations — 99 Grand Street (Home & Gift) and 319 Graham Avenue (Home & Woman). Schedule This is a full time, 5 days (40 hours) a week position (please note weekend availability is required as needed). Compensation $32 — $41/hr* with annual raises, plus: employer-subsidized health, vision and dental benefits 2 weeks PTO employee discount on all merchandise *This range is approximate and may vary quite a bit depending on the relevancy, duration and quality of experience of the candidate. We are open to more-entry level candidates with limited management experience at the low end, and those with multiple years of directly relevant experience at the higher end. At least one prior position where you managed direct reports is strongly preferred, especially for those expecting a rate on the higher end of the pay range.
