Solutions Engineer

Nesto scaled to over €5M ARR without external funding before closing an €11M growth equity round in April 2026, backed by Expedition Growth Capital, to scale its commercial team and expand across DACH and Europe Role Overview We are a fast-growing SaaS company entering the next phase of scale across Germany and broader DACH. As we expand into larger and more complex accounts, we are hiring a Solutions Engineer to sit at the intersection of sales and product - helping prospects understand the full power of Nesto's platform and ensuring a seamless path from evaluation to deployment. This is a technically credible, commercially aware role suited to someone who is as comfortable in a sales conversation with a restaurant group's operations director as they are discussing data integrations with an IT team. As Nesto scales its commercial team and expands internationally across Europe, this role has clear potential to grow into a lead Solutions Engineering position, with scope to build and manage a team as the function matures. Role Mandate The Solutions Engineer will: Partner closely with AEs across both SMB/mid-market and enterprise sales cycles to deliver compelling, tailored product demonstrations Lead technical discovery with prospects - understanding their current systems, workflows, and pain points Own the technical validation process, including RFP responses, proof-of-concept builds, and integration scoping Act as the primary technical point of contact for prospects during the sales cycle Bridge sales and product by feeding prospect insights and recurring technical objections back into the roadmap Support onboarding and handover to customer success on new accounts Support existing customers in setting up additional modules and functional components, partnering with Customer Success to ensure expansion use cases are successfully configured and adopted Contribute to building scalable demo environments, technical documentation, and sales collateral Success in the First 12 Months Trusted technical partner to the sales team across all active enterprise and mid-market deals Measurable contribution to deal velocity and conversion through strong technical qualification and demonstration Clean handover process from sales to implementation established Active contribution to customer expansion by enabling the rollout of new modules and functional components for existing accounts A library of demo environments and technical assets that scale across the team Profile We are looking for a technically strong, commercially minded individual with experience in a customer-facing SaaS role 3-6 years' experience in a Solutions Engineering, Sales Engineering, or Technical Pre-Sales role Strong understanding of SaaS integrations, APIs, and data flows Experience working alongside an enterprise or mid-market sales team Experience supporting module rollouts, configuration workshops, or expansion projects with existing SaaS customers is a plus Ability to translate complex technical concepts into clear business value for non-technical stakeholders Familiarity with workforce management, HR tech, POS systems, or hospitality technology is a strong plus Highly organised with the ability to manage multiple active deals simultaneously Fluent in German and English (mandatory) What This Is Not: A purely technical or back-end engineering role A purely post-sale implementation or support-only function A role with a narrow, single-stage remit - you\'ll be involved across the full pre-sales journey #J-18808-Ljbffr Nesto Software GmbH
