Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough preliminary interviews with each client to gather comprehensive information about their mental, emotional, and behavioral health, documenting all findings meticulously.

• Evaluate clients' conditions using established diagnostic criteria and develop personalized intervention and recovery plans suitable for individuals, couples, families, and group settings.

• Facilitate engaging individual and group therapy sessions that promote client participation and foster a sense of community among participants.

Qualifications\n

• A Master's or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current and valid licensure as one of the following: LMFT, LMHC, LCSW, or LCSW-R in the state of New York.

• A successful score on the National Counselor Exam (NCE) or the National Clinical Mental Health Counseling Examination (NCMHCE).

• A minimum of two years of experience working as a mental health counselor in a clinical setting.

• Proficiency in using electronic health record (EHR) systems, particularly AVATAR, for documentation and client management.

• In-depth understanding of co-occurring physical and emotional health conditions, along with experience addressing addiction disorders.

• Familiarity with the best practices outlined by the American Mental Health Counselors Association (AMHCA).

Compensation and Benefits\n
