Key Responsibilities\n

• Conducting initial client interviews, meticulously documenting case details from the outset through to the conclusion of treatment.

• Evaluating the mental, emotional, and behavioral health of clients using standardized assessment tools.
\n
• Developing personalized intervention and recovery plans for diverse groups, including individuals, couples, families, and larger therapy groups.
\n
• Facilitating therapeutic sessions with clients, ensuring active participation, and utilizing evidence-based therapeutic techniques.
\n
• Monitoring and documenting client progress throughout the duration of the treatment plan, making adjustments as necessary based on client feedback and clinical insights.
\n
• Collaborating with other healthcare professionals, such as psychiatrists, social workers, and nurses, to develop cohesive treatment strategies.
\n
• Following up on care plans for clients who may require hospitalization, ensuring continuity of care and support during critical treatment phases.

• Identifying behaviors that may hinder recovery and implementing strategies to mitigate these barriers.

• Providing support and education to family members and caregivers as they navigate challenges related to mental health.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current and valid licensure as an LMFT, LMHC, LCSW, or LCSW-R in the state of New York.

• Successful completion of the National Counselor Examination (NCE) and/or the National Clinical Mental Health Counselor Examination (NCMHCE).

• Demonstrated experience in mental health counseling, showcasing proficiency in handling a variety of mental health challenges.

• Familiarity with electronic health record systems, preferably AVATAR.

• Knowledge and experience in addressing co-occurring physical and emotional health conditions and substances use disorders.

• Solid understanding of the best practices outlined by the American Mental Health Counselors Association (AMHCA).

• In-depth awareness of the implications of psychotropic medications prescribed by medical professionals.
\n
• Strong written and verbal communication skills coupled with exceptional interpersonal capabilities.

• A compassionate and empathetic demeanor that promotes client rapport and trust.

Compensation and Benefits\n

The role offers a competitive salary range of $80,000 to $100,000 annually, commensurate with experience, along with a sign-on bonus for qualified candidates.
