Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct initial assessments and mental health evaluations during preliminary interviews, documenting each case meticulously from consultation to treatment completion.

• Evaluate clients' mental, behavioral, and emotional health through comprehensive assessments and standardized testing methods.

• Develop individualized treatment and intervention plans tailored to meet the unique needs of individuals, couples, families, and groups.

• Facilitate both individual and group therapy sessions, utilizing effective therapeutic techniques to promote healing and self-awareness.

• Monitor client progress throughout the treatment process, adjusting plans as necessary to ensure optimal outcomes.

• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, including psychiatrists, social workers, nurses, and other mental health specialists, to create cohesive intervention plans.

• Engage in follow-ups with medical professionals for clients requiring hospital admission, ensuring continuity of care.

• Identify and mitigate potential barriers to recovery, providing strategies for clients and their family members as needed.

You will be working with a diverse population comprising children, adolescents, adults, and families facing various mental health challenges, including anxiety, depression, trauma, and addiction. Qualifications\n

• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Clinical Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current and valid licensure as an LMFT, LMHC, LCSW, or LCSW-R in the state of New York.

• A successful score on the National Counselor Examination (NCE) and/or the National Clinical Mental Health Counseling Examination (NCMHCE).

• Proficiency in utilizing electronic health record systems such as AVATAR, ensuring accurate documentation and efficient communication.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, complemented by interpersonal skills that foster genuine rapport with clients and colleagues.

• In-depth understanding of drug effects prescribed by healthcare providers, which enhances holistic treatment approaches.

Preferred Experience\n

• Previous experience as a mental health counselor or therapist, demonstrating a solid track record of successful client outcomes.

• Experience in working with individuals with comorbid physical health conditions and addiction disorders.

• Familiarity with the American Mental Health Counselors Association (AMHCA) guidelines and evidence-based practices.

Compensation and Benefits\n
