Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive mental health evaluations and document findings from initial consultations to treatment completion, facilitating optimal therapeutic outcomes.

• Develop individualized treatment plans tailored to each client's unique needs, incorporating evidence-based interventions for individuals, couples, and families.

• Facilitate both individual and group therapy sessions, providing support and guidance while promoting a safe atmosphere for sharing and healing.

• Regularly monitor client progress through ongoing assessments and adjust treatment goals as necessary based on client feedback and clinical observations.

• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of healthcare professionals—including psychiatrists, nurses, and social workers—to ensure a holistic approach to client care.

• Provide follow-up support for clients requiring additional resources or referrals, ensuring comprehensive care for those experiencing complex challenges.

• Assist in educating family members and caregivers on managing mental health issues, advocating for clients’ needs and fostering collaborative communication.

• Stay informed on the latest developments in psychotherapy, integrating new knowledge into practice to enhance treatment efficacy.

In this role, you will primarily serve a diverse client population, including individuals, couples, and families navigating various mental health challenges. Our clients may present with conditions such as anxiety, depression, trauma, and relationship issues, all of which require sensitivity, cultural competence, and tailored therapeutic strategies. Qualifications\n

• A Master's or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current licensure as an LMFT, LMHC, LCSW, or LCSW-R in New York.

• A passing score on the National Counselor Examination (NCE) and/or the National Clinical Mental Health Counseling Examination (NCMHCE).

• Proven experience as a mental health counselor, demonstrating strong clinical skills and a commitment to client care.

Preferred Experience\n

• Familiarity with electronic health record systems, particularly AVATAR, for efficient case management and documentation.

• Experience in addressing a spectrum of emotional and behavioral health issues, alongside co-occurring disorders related to addiction.

• Knowledge of best practices as guided by the American Mental Health Counselors Association (AMHCA), ensuring adherence to ethical guidelines in counseling.

• A strong understanding of prescribed medications and their impacts on mental health, enabling informed collaborative care.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills to effectively engage with clients and colleagues.

• High level of empathy and interpersonal skills, enabling the establishment of trust and rapport with clients.

Compensation and Benefits\n

The compensation package for this role ranges from $80,000 to $100,000 annually, along with a potential sign-on bonus.
