Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough and compassionate trauma-informed mental health assessments to carefully evaluate patients' trauma histories.

• Design and implement effective, individualized treatment plans focused on trauma recovery that utilize evidence-based practices.

• Deliver therapeutic interventions such as Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT) to facilitate recovery.

• Facilitate both individual and group therapy sessions, providing a safe space for patients to process their trauma while developing practical coping strategies.

• Collaborate seamlessly with psychiatrists and allied health professionals to ensure coordinated and holistic care for each patient.

• Provide immediate crisis interventions and support during trauma-related emergencies, enabling timely assistance to those in distress.

• Educate patients and families on trauma responses, effective coping mechanisms, and community resources, fostering empowerment and understanding.

• Maintain diligent documentation in electronic health record (EHR) systems, adhering strictly to all legal and ethical guidelines.

• Engage in case consultations, team meetings, and professional development sessions to enhance trauma-informed care practices among peers.

• Stay informed about the latest research and clinical best practices in trauma therapy to continuously improve therapeutic interventions.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

You will primarily work with survivors of trauma, including individuals suffering from post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), complex trauma, and dissociative disorders. Your role is essential in helping patients navigate their healing journey and develop resilience in the face of adversity.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Possession of current and valid licensure as an LMFT, LMHC, LCSW, LCSW-R in New York.
\n
• Minimum of 2 years of experience post-licensure , particularly in trauma-focused therapy settings.
\n
• Well-versed knowledge of trauma-related disorders and treatment modalities, with a focus on resilience-building.
\n
• Exceptional interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate effectively with patients, families, and colleagues.
\n
• Capacity to remain calm and composed in high-pressure situations.
\n
• Experience with electronic health record (EHR) systems and computer applications is preferred.
