Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive mental health evaluations and document findings meticulously from the initial consultation through to discharge.

• Assess clients' emotional, behavioral, and psychological states to formulate personalized treatment plans.

• Design and execute effective intervention strategies tailored for individuals, couples, families, and groups.

• Lead both individual and group therapy sessions, utilizing various modalities and techniques to foster healing and growth.
\n
• Regularly monitor clients' progress and adjust treatment plans as needed to ensure optimal outcomes.

• Collaborate with other mental health professionals, including psychiatrists, social workers, and medical personnel, to coordinate integrated care.

• Maintain open lines of communication with healthcare providers, particularly for clients requiring hospitalization or additional medical interventions.

• Educate and support family members and caregivers in managing complex behavioral health issues.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Our clientele encompasses a diverse range of individuals, including young adults, families, and those struggling with a variety of conditions such as anxiety, depression, trauma, and substance abuse. Qualifications\n

• The ideal candidate will possess a Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current and valid licensure as an LMFT, LMHC, LCSW, or LCSW-R in New York State is mandatory.

• A passing score on the National Counselor Examination (NCE) or the National Clinical Mental Health Counseling Examination (NCMHCE) is required.

• Strong written and verbal communication skills are essential for effective interaction with clients and team members.

Preferred Experience\n

• Prior experience as a mental health counselor or similar role in an outpatient setting is highly desirable.

• Familiarity with electronic health record systems, particularly AVATAR, will be advantageous.

• Experience working with clients having co-occurring physical and psychological conditions or addiction disorders.

• A strong grasp of the American Mental Health Counselors Association (AMHCA) best practices is preferred.

• Competency in understanding the implications of medications prescribed by other healthcare providers is beneficial.

Compensation and Benefits\n

The compensation for this position ranges from $80,000 to $100,000 per year, coupled with a generous signing bonus.
