Detailed Job Description Job Description: Payroll Coordinator Location: Santa Monica, CA 90404 (Onsite) Duration: 6 Months (Extension/Conversion based on performance) Pay Range: $32/hr. - $35/hr. Work Schedule: 9:00 AM - 6:00 PM Experience Required: 2+ years Key Responsibilities Process end-to-end payroll for employees across multiple pay frequencies in a multi-state, unionized environment. Review, audit, and reconcile HR and payroll data to identify discrepancies and ensure accurate employee payments. Ensure payroll calculations and employee tax information comply with federal, state, and local regulations, including multi-state taxation requirements. Reconcile payroll integration files and bank files to ensure accurate and timely payroll transactions. Required Qualifications Minimum of 2 years of hands-on payroll processing experience. Knowledge of payroll processing, payroll accounting, and wage and hour regulations. Knowledge of multi-state payroll taxation and compliance requirements is preferred. Basic understanding of SOX compliance and internal controls. Required Skills Proficiency in Excel at an intermediate level. Strong attention to detail and commitment to payroll accuracy. Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and meet strict payroll deadlines.
