Description

• Assess patients spanning the pediatric, adult, and geriatric age groups using standardized evaluation tools and observational methods.
• Formulate custom treatment plans that cater to immediate goals as well as longer-term communication, cognitive, or swallowing requirements.
• Administer individualized speech therapy interventions focused on communication, language, fluency, voice, and swallowing difficulties.
• Work in collaboration with physical therapists, occupational therapists, nurses, medical practitioners, caregivers, and family members to craft unified care plans.
• Provide educational resources for patients and families to bolster their progress outside of clinical settings.
• Assist with periodic inpatient evaluations and interventions in speech therapy to ensure seamless care throughout the entire treatment process.
• Maintain precise and timely documentation in compliance with state, federal, and organizational standards.
• Engage in ongoing education and collaborative opportunities to keep pace with advancements in the field.

Education

• Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
• Completion of a supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if not yet ASHA-certified.

Certifications

• State licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist .
• Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA is preferred.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification must be obtained within 30 days of employment.
