Manager, Accounts Payable

Position: Manager, Accounts Payable Location: Cleveland, OH Job Id: 2360 # of Openings: 1 Full‑time hybrid position. Ensure all vendor payments are processed accurately and in accordance with company policies and payment terms. Manage AP close activities, including accruals and reconciliation of AP-related accounts on a monthly basis within defined time frames. Identify and implement process improvements to increase efficiency, reduce manual work, and enhance accuracy. Partner with IT/Finance leadership on AP automation initiatives and system enhancements (e.g., OCR, workflow tools). Maximize cash flow by identifying opportunities to utilize credit cards to process payments without fees. Maintain and update standard operating procedures (SOPs) for AP processes. Develop and maintain reporting on AP metrics (cycle times, aging, error rates, etc.). Provide insights to Finance leadership. Support cash forecasting by providing visibility into payment obligations. Lead, coach, and develop accounts payable staff. Establish productivity, accuracy, and turnaround expectations and manage team performance against them. Foster a culture of accountability, continuous improvement, and strong customer service. Job Qualifications & Requirements Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred. 5+ years of accounting experience with at least 2 years in a supervisory/management role. Strong knowledge of accounts payable processes and internal controls. Experience with ERP/accounting systems; familiarity with AP automation tools preferred. High attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and ability to manage high-volume workflows. Strong communication and leadership abilities.
