Certified Nurse Midwife OpportunityJoin our growing Certified Nurse Midwife team in the North suburbs. Our CNM's provide care including pregnancy, childbirth, postpartum period, immediate care of the newborn following birth, family planning and gynecologic needs. They ensure coordination of care for the patient in collaboration with other Perinatal, Neonatal and Birth Center team members.Key Position Details:Team of 15 plus Certified Nurse Midwives across the systemCollaborative, supportive and encouraging teammatesOpportunities for professional and personal growth- research, mentoring CNM and NP students, instrumental QI projectsSupport whole person population health care initiativesFull-time position at Mercy Women's Clinic and deliveries out of Mercy Hospital.Job Description:CNM group independently provides labor support, water birth and VBAC/TOLAC servicesMidwifery collaborative support is provided by a supportive inhouse OB and maternal fetal medicine groupsWe attend approximately 40-50 births per month with three affiliated clinics."Natural birth experience" highlighting nontraditional care in the hospital.Follows standards for Nurse Midwifery Practice established by the American College of Nurse-Midwives and Minnesota statute.Professional Liability insurance including tail coverageRequired Qualifications:Bachelor's degree Graduate from Accredited School of NursingFormal education as Nurse practitionerLicensed Registered Nurse - MN Board of Nursing required upon hireCertified Nurse Midwife - MN Board of Nursing required upon hireMust meet at least ONE of the requirements below: Current BLS certification from the American Heart Association Current BLS certification from the American Red Cross Allina in-house BLS training (within 30 days of hire)AMCB American Midwifery Certification Board upon hire requiredPreferred Qualifications:Master's degree in nursing or related field1 year of Certified Nurse Midwife experiencePhysical Demands Medium Work*: Lifting weight Up to 32 lbs. occasionally (*Allina Safe Patient Moving Policy), Up to 25 lbs. frequentlyPay Range: $130,000 to $145,000 per year The pay described reflects the starting base pay range, assuming a full-time FTE.
