Regulatory Compliance Specialist

Regional Starts and Compliance Specialist Full-time • City: Portland • Job Category: Purchasing and Supply Chain David Weekley Homes is seeking a detail-oriented Regional Starts and Compliance Specialist to support start proof accuracy and compliance across multiple markets. This role partners closely with Regional and Local Purchasing Teams to manage job start processes, resolve issues, and ensure Preferred Partners are properly set up and compliant. The position also plays a key role in contract administration, insurance tracking, and coordination with Legal and Accounting teams to support timely approvals and uninterrupted operations. Responsibilities Runs, reviews, and validates start proofs Identifies and resolves start proof issues in collaboration with Local Purchasing Teams Posts job starts accurately and in a timely manner Compliance and Documentation Reviews and tracks insurance documentation, follows up with third parties, and places Preferred Partners on hold when coverage is expired or missing Partners with Legal and Accounting teams to resolve compliance issues Maintains current contract documentation for each market Stores, manages, and ensures accuracy of signed Preferred Partner Agreements, Statements of Work, and related contract documents from Local Teams Qualifications Experience in purchasing, starts, permitting, or vendor management (preferred) Strong professional communication skills with the ability to work effectively with internal teams and Preferred Partners Proven ability tohold team members and partners accountable to policies and requirements Working knowledge of insurance terminology (preferred) Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities Results-driven with a focus on meeting deadlines and process accuracy Process-oriented mindset with a focus on continuous improvement Collaborative team player with an understanding of broader business processes What We Offer We offer an excellent benefits package that includes: Health Insurance - Medical, Dental and Vision 401k and discretionary 8% match Employee Stock Ownership Plan Profit Sharing New Home Discount for Team Member and Family College Scholarship Program Community Outreach And more!
