Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough assessments of client mental health status through individual sessions, gathering information on their history, experiences, and concerns.

• Facilitate regular counseling sessions, utilizing both individual and group therapy techniques to provide consistent support.

• Provide referrals and collaborate with other healthcare professionals, including psychiatrists and primary care providers, to ensure comprehensive care.

• Maintain accurate and timely progress notes within our EHR systems, ensuring adherence to state regulations and best practices.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

The patients you will work with may face a wide range of challenges, including mood disorders such as depression and anxiety, substance abuse issues, eating disorders, and various psychosocial stressors. Your proactive engagement and support will significantly impact their recovery journeys and overall mental health improvements.

Qualifications\n

• A master’s degree or higher in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• A current, valid license as an LMFT, LMHC, LCSW, or LCSW-R in the state of New York.
\n
• A minimum of two years of relevant clinical experience post-licensure.
\n
• A strong understanding of mental health disorders and cultural competence in therapeutic practices.

• Exceptional crisis intervention skills and an ability to handle sensitive situations with composure and professionalism.

• Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills to build rapport with diverse clients and their families.

• Proficiency in using EHR systems and various computer applications.

• A commitment to ethical standards, client confidentiality, and maintaining professional boundaries.

Preferred Experience\n

Experience in providing therapy to a diverse client population, including individuals overcoming substance abuse, trauma, or severe mental health conditions, is preferred. Compensation and Benefits\n
