Bookkeeper

Salary: USD28 - USD35 per hour Temporary Bookkeeper (QuickBooks Desktop Required) Position Summary We are seeking a detail-oriented Bookkeeper with mandatory experience using QuickBooks Desktop to manage day-to-day accounting operations and ensure accurate financial reporting. The ideal candidate will have strong bookkeeping, reconciliation, and general ledger experience and be comfortable working with ServiceTitan and QuickBooks Desktop in a fast-paced service-based environment. Key Responsibilities Maintain accurate and up-to-date accounting records within QuickBooks Desktop . Perform general ledger accounting functions, including journal entries, account analysis, and month-end close activities. Prepare financial statements and supporting schedules, including balance sheet reconciliations. Reconcile franchise fees and other recurring financial transactions on a monthly basis. Process accounts payable transactions, vendor invoices, purchases, and related expense activity. Perform bank reconciliations and investigate discrepancies in a timely manner. Reconcile corporate credit card accounts and ensure accurate expense coding and posting. Manage and reconcile customer service plan memberships, recurring payments, and renewal transactions. Assist with budgeting and forecasting processes by providing accurate financial data and analysis. Maintain data accuracy and consistency across accounting systems. Support inventory controls, periodic inventory counts, and obsolescence reviews. Monitor internal controls related to procurement approvals, cash disbursements, petty cash, payroll-related transactions, and local bank accounts. Assist in the preparation of financial records for audits and collaborate with external auditors, accountants, and tax professionals. Manage and support accounting-related systems, recommending and implementing process improvements as needed. Work closely with management to ensure financial information supports operational and strategic decision‑making. Utilize ServiceTitan and QuickBooks Desktop to ensure accurate integration and reporting of operational and financial data. Required Qualifications Mandatory: Minimum 3 years of hands‑on experience with QuickBooks Desktop . Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Bookkeeping, or related field preferred. Experience with bank reconciliations, accounts payable, general ledger accounting, and financial statement preparation. Strong understanding of accounting principles and internal controls. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications. High level of accuracy, organization, and attention to detail. Excellent communication and problem‑solving skills. Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines. Preferred Qualifications Experience with ServiceTitan software. Experience in a service, franchise, HVAC, plumbing, electrical, or home services business. Prior involvement in audit support and budget preparation.
