Key Responsibilities\n

In this role, you will:

• Conduct comprehensive assessments to determine the counseling needs of each client, including evaluating for substance use disorders using DSM criteria.
\n
• Collaborate in preparing treatment plans that focus on the unique substance abuse counseling needs of clients.
\n
• Develop individualized discharge and care continuity plans to guide clients toward appropriate levels of care.
\n
• Document all counseling sessions, assessments, referrals, and other critical updates in clients' clinical records, ensuring accuracy and compliance with legal standards.
\n
• Manage an active caseload, providing ongoing case management and treatment planning updates.
\n
• Coordinate support services for clients and their families, ensuring seamless access to additional resources.
\n
• Engage with various referral sources, including legal representatives, educational institutions, and employers, to facilitate comprehensive support.
\n
• Utilize a multi-disciplinary team approach to address crisis-oriented issues and provide necessary interventions for assigned clients.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Your primary focus will be individuals struggling with mental health challenges concurrent with substance use disorders. You will have the opportunity to work with a diverse client base, including varying age groups and demographics, each requiring tailored therapeutic approaches. Your expertise will enable clients to navigate their path toward recovery and improve their overall well-being.

Qualifications\n

• A valid LCSW license to practice in the state of California.

• A Bachelor’s degree in Social Work or a relevant field is required.

• Demonstrated professionalism, strong therapeutic boundaries, and cultural competency.

• Excellent self-motivation, organization, and time-management skills.

Preferred Experience\n

• Previous experience in co-occurring counseling and substance abuse treatment.

• Familiarity with the DSM-5 and ASAM criteria.

• Experience in telehealth service delivery is highly desirable.

• Proficient in using Electronic Health Records (EHR) systems for clinical documentation.
