Work Environment

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct initial evaluations to assess the functional needs and goals of each patient.
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans to address specific orthopedic conditions.
• Administer evidence-based therapeutic interventions aimed at improving patients' range of motion, strength, and overall functionality.
• Monitor patient progress through regular assessments, adjusting treatment plans as necessary to optimize outcomes.
• Maintain precise and timely documentation of patient records, treatment activities, and outcome measures in compliance with legal and ethical standards.
• Engage patients in educational discussions about their conditions and encourage self-management techniques to support ongoing recovery.
• Utilize advanced manual therapy techniques to facilitate movement and reduce pain effectively.
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, including orthopedic surgeons and general practitioners, to coordinate comprehensive patient care.
• Stay current with research and advancements in physical therapy to enhance service delivery.

Patient Population / Client Focus

As an Orthopedic Physical Therapist at Fit Movement, you will primarily serve a diverse patient population, including individuals recovering from sports injuries, post-surgical rehabilitation, and various musculoskeletal disorders. Our clients typically have private medical insurance, and we prioritize providing high-quality, patient-centered care designed to improve their mobility and overall well-being.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) from an accredited institution.
• Current and valid Florida state license to practice as a Physical Therapist.
• Demonstrated commitment to professional development and quality patient care.
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, in order to effectively educate patients and liaise with the healthcare team.
• Proficiency in electronic medical records (EMR) systems, particularly WebPT, for accurate documentation.

Preferred Experience

• Prior experience in an orthopedic outpatient setting, with a proven track record of successful patient outcomes.
• Expertise in manual therapy techniques and the implementation of therapeutic exercise protocols.
• Experience in developing and executing fitness and wellness programs tailored to individual patient needs.

Compensation and Benefits

The salary for this full-time position ranges from USD 80,000 to 100,000 annually, commensurate with experience.
