Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive trauma-informed mental health assessments that assess patients' trauma histories, strengths, and preferences in order to design appropriate treatment plans.

• Craft and implement personalized treatment plans focused on trauma recovery and resilience, utilizing methodologies such as Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT).

• Facilitate individual and group therapy sessions, effectively guiding patients in processing trauma, developing coping strategies, and promoting healing.

• Collaborate with psychiatrists and multidisciplinary team members to coordinate integrated care for patients, ensuring their holistic needs are being met.

• Provide crisis intervention and support during trauma-related emergencies, demonstrating both clinical expertise and compassion.

• Educate patients and their families about trauma responses, effective coping mechanisms, and available resources to foster greater understanding and empowerment.

• Maintain thorough and confidential documentation in compliance with legal and ethical standards, using electronic health record (EHR) systems.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Your primary focus will be on individuals who have experienced various forms of trauma, including but not limited to complex trauma, PTSD, and dissociative disorders. You will work closely with clients who are eager to reclaim their lives and equip them with the tools needed to cope with their experiences, fostering resilience and personal growth.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution is required.

• Current and valid licensure as an LCSW, LPC, or LMFT in the state of Georgia.

• At least 2 years of post-licensure experience in the mental health field, preferably focusing on trauma-informed care.

• Solid understanding of trauma-related disorders and effective therapeutic modalities addressing trauma recovery and resilience.

• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, coupled with a compassionate and non-judgmental therapeutic approach.

• Proficient in the use of electronic health record (EHR) systems, ensuring accurate documentation and effective patient management.

Preferred Experience\n

Candidates with prior experience in delivering trauma-focused therapy and interventions, particularly through telehealth platforms, will be strongly preferred. Familiarity with evidence-based interventions and a demonstrated ability to remain composed in high-stress situations will also distinguish your candidacy.
