Key Responsibilities\n

• Perform comprehensive trauma-informed assessments to evaluate clients' trauma histories and determine suitable treatment methodologies.

• Craft and implement tailored treatment plans aimed at trauma recovery that incorporate evidence-based practices and resilience-building strategies.

• Utilize therapeutic techniques such as Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT) to support patients in processing trauma.

• Conduct both individual and group therapy sessions designed to help clients develop coping strategies and foster healing.

• Engage in ongoing collaboration with psychiatrists and other mental health professionals to ensure a comprehensive and integrated care plan for each patient.

• Provide crisis intervention and immediate support during trauma-related emergencies, ensuring safety and stability for clients.
\n
• Educate clients and their families on trauma responses, coping mechanisms, and available community resources to enhance their recovery journey.

• Maintain accurate and confidential records as mandated by legal and ethical guidelines, ensuring compliance and integrity in documentation.

• Participate in case consultations, team meetings, and continuous training focused on trauma-informed practices.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

You will primarily work with individuals who have experienced trauma, including those with complex trauma histories. Your patient population may encompass a diversity of ages, backgrounds, and experiences, providing you with a rich opportunity to influence their healing and develop effective recovery strategies.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Mental Health Counseling, Marriage and Family Therapy, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current licensure as an LCSW, LPC, or LMFT in the state of Georgia.

• A minimum of two years of post-licensure experience in mental health counseling is preferred.

Compensation and Benefits\n
